Terms of Service

        Plain English summary: Subsigo is a free iOS app. Use it responsibly. We provide it as-is. Don't do anything illegal with it.
    

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Subsigo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and BitByte ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

Subsigo is a personal subscription management application for iOS that allows users to:

Track and organize personal subscriptions and recurring payments
Receive local notifications about upcoming renewals
View spending summaries and insights
Categorise subscriptions and customize the app's appearance
Import and export subscription data in JSON format

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to:

Modify, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Create derivative works based on the App
Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App
Sublicense, sell, rent, lease, transfer, or otherwise commercialize the App

4. Apple App Store Terms

Subsigo is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and Terms of Service. We are solely responsible for the App and its content, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

The accuracy of any data you enter into the App
Maintaining backups of your data (using the export feature)
Any decisions you make based on information displayed in the App
Ensuring your device is kept secure to protect your data

The App is a tracking tool only. It does not connect to subscription providers on your behalf, and we are not responsible for any subscriptions you choose to continue, pause, or cancel based on the App's information.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and assets within Subsigo — including but not limited to the app name, logo, icons, UI design, and written content — are the intellectual property of BitByte and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
That the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
The accuracy or completeness of any content or calculations in the App

Financial decisions should not be made solely on the basis of information displayed by the App. Always verify subscription details directly with your service providers.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BITBYTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. Your rights under these Terms terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision. You may also terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App from your device.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may notify users through an app update. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.
